LENOX Saucers, Poppies on Blue, Pair of Saucers, Lenox Chinastone, Oven, Microwave, Freezer Safe, Made in USA, Red Blue, Gift for Her

  • Details
These Lenox saucers are from Lenox's most popular casual "Chinastone" dinnerware pattern called "Poppies on Blue". These were manufactured as the blue banded saucers that were supposed to accompany the cups that were decorated with the flowing and stylized blue and red flowers and foliage of the "Poppies in Blue" cups. This is one of Lenox's most popular patterns ever and at one time came in a huge array of pieces including I believe 3 styles of cups/mugs. A popular china replacement site shows these saucers with the shorter of the two mug styles, however I would think they could also come in very handy to use as for resting dripping tea bags and for holding small snacks that might you might want to have at your occasion with any of the cup/mug sizes.

The color in these two pieces consists of Lenox's typical ivory background striped on the edge with the rich blue color of the "Poppies in Blue" pattern. . Overall it is a very simple and stylistic pattern with enough subtle variation in its color palette to blend with many table linen and accompanying serving ware themes.

The Poppies on Blue pattern was produced by Lenox between the years of 1984 and 2007 and is a beautifully versatile pattern that works remarkably gorgeously for any season.

This saucers measure 6" in diameter. Both saucers are in excellent condition with no flaws or damage -- great for your home or to give as a gift to another "Poppies in Blue" homemaker who loves adding to her supply of extra pieces.

NOTE - Lenox Chinastone, as a sturdier dishware than its more delicate fine china, is designed to go from freezer to oven to table and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
