Amber Glass GOBLET, Indiana Glass Co, Mount Vernon, Honeycomb, Mid Century Glass, American Glass, Vintage Barware, 1960s, Square Base, Gift

$10.00

  • Details
This pattern of sparkling amber glass goblet was made in the 1960s and 1970s in the USA and manufactured by the Indiana Glass Co. in a honeycomb pattern with a square base that they called the Mount Vernon pattern. Because of its sturdy weight these glasses have endured well over the years and are still popular in modern homes and at home bars.

The Mount Vernon stemware was produced in various sizes. This particular size has a relatively short stem and deep bowl. It is 6" tall x 3 3/4" in diameter at the top, and holds approx. 12 ounces of liquid. I believe it was probably considered the iced tea size among its siblings of other sizes.

The glass is in excellent condition with no flaws or damage. It would make a nice addition to a collection of Mount Vernon or other mid century glassware, or it could also be a very thoughtful gift used as a vase for a bouquet of fresh stems.
